Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club

Home > Parents Guide  > Extended School > Breakfast Club

The school has the facilities to offer a Breakfast Club from 8.00-8.45am Monday to Friday.

Admission to Breakfast Club will finish at 8:25, during this time, the children are offered a variety of healthy breakfast options. Breakfast club is held in the Aviary building. Once the children have finished eating their breakfast, there are a variety of toys, educational games and activities available for the children to access. Nursery and Reception children can also attend breakfast club.

Bookings

We have a termly booking system for breakfast club, after school clubs and play centre. All spaces are limited and should be booked and paid for in advance, at the main school office, to ensure that your child’s place is secured.
Parents are required to sign up for all of these clubs on termly basis; attendance does not automatically roll over from one term to the next. All booking forms are available from the main office.

Costs

There is a daily charge of £1.50 for admission to Breakfast Club if the session is booked in advance.

Please do not hesitate to contact the school office if you have any queries.

We are a Magic Breakfast School

Gainsborough Community Primary School works in partnership with Magic Breakfast to ensure that no child is too hungry to learn. Magic Breakfast do this by providing healthy breakfast food and expert support to help identify and reach all pupils who might be at risk of hunger. A hungry child cannot concentrate so could miss out on half a day of lessons every school day if not given anything nutritious to eat first thing. A “magic” breakfast is healthy and nutritious and is designed to give children energy, protein, vitamins and minerals; whilst being low in sugar, salt and fat.  The food Magic Breakfast provides to schools complies with government school food standards and regulations in Scotland and England.

To access our Magic Breakfast support, please speak with Charlotte Harris, our Family Liaison Officer who will be able to provide more information.
