Since September 2020, we have been able to offer all year round childcare for children aged 9 months to 2 years of age in our Preschool provision!
As part of our Hatchling’s provision we offer a large open classroom space with access our own sleeping and changing areas.
The Hatchling’s rooms has access to a secure outdoor space which has been created to stimulate learning and encourages exploration.
Attendance is offered daily from 8.00am-6.00pm. We offer attendance from 3-5 days per week but we do not offer part day attendance.
Applications for our preschool provision are made directly to the school, by completing the relevant application form below and returning this to the office or our dedicated admissions mailbox: admissions@gainsborough.hackney.sch.uk

As you will be aware, there are a number of changes coming into effect from April 2024 in regards to supporting working families with their childcare costs. We have created flyers which detail what these changes mean for you and your family. Changes may affect your family differently at various stages across the coming months. Sessions run Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 6.00pm.
Parents can choose sessions between 2 and 5 per week.

Meals, snacks and changing sundries are included in the weekly fees for all children in the Hatchling’s class.
Preschool provision operates for 48 weeks of the year with compulsory closures* for:

Our wonderful 2 Year Old provision. Children in the Hatchlings class learn to communicate and play, all day, with the help of some pretty special staff. Happy Christmas Hatchlings.

This week in Hatchlings, the children have been engaging in a variety of sensory activities that focus on the sense touch.
Our older children have been encouraged to use utensils to scoop, slice and cut various types of foods and textures; promoting independence and perfecting fine motor skills. 👶🏿
