This half term we have learnt how to cook a range of pasta dishes in years 1-6. The children learnt about where the recipe originated, where the ingredients were grown and then set about learning how to peel, grate, chop and blend to make the pesto and add it to the pasta. The children used basil, garlic and Parmesan. Michael said the garlic was just to strong, Cheyenne said the blender was hard to use as it moved the ingredients around and Tate said when he mixed the garlicky, cheesy mix with the pasta he was surprised he liked it. Well done Year 3! #keephealthy

In geography, year 3 looked at the story of chocolate in the Spring term. A wonderful member of staff brought back a cocao bean from Ghana. We felt it, smelt it, opened it and tasted it! We considered it’s journey and we were blown away by its size and the smell. Thank you Florence.
