Christmas Lunch – Tuesday 16th December
We ate a delicious Christmas lunch on Tuesday 16th December. We were very fortunate to have been chosen by Chefs in Schools to be the subject of their Christmas Lunch take over. Chefs in Schools, one of our partner organisations, made a great filming highlighting the quality, professionalism and brilliance of our chef team. We ate a very tasty Christmas lunch and we enjoyed the crackers and juice, decorations and the excitement!
Nativity at St Mary of Eton
Nursery, Reception, Years 1 and 2 took part in the ‘greatest story ever told’ last week. The children worked really hard to learn the words, actions and songs for their retelling of the nativity. A special mention to our Year 2 narrators: Teya and Lucinda, and to our Year 1 narrators Christian, Gabriel and Kyro. The children were incredible: beautifully, behaved, listened to their friends really well and gave us really heart felt performance. A huge thank you also to Reverend Sue and St Mary of Eton who have allowed us to perform in the Church again and welcome everyone with open arms. We wish you a merry Christmas!
Years 3, 4, 5, 6 Winter Concert
We were blown away by our older children’s singing this week in their annual Winter Concert. Each year group performed 2 songs, with a whole school song to start and one to end! The children performed effortlessly and we really enjoyed rehearsing, performing and watching them. Well done Years 3, 4, 5 and 6, you sang beautifully and made us very proud.
FRoG’s Annual Christ
Thank you to all those who attended our PTA Annual Christmas Party. We raised over £350 for the school. It was lovely to see families enjoy some down time together, and even more wonderful to see children meet our special guest Mr Claus! Thank you to our school staff and FRoG’s members who made this possible, and a really enjoyable event.
TT Rockstars Christmas Battle
Children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 were challenged to a TT Rockstars battle against Ms Lydon this week. Unfortunately there was more scandal in the staff versus children battles as the battle was never actually set up! The children will battle Ms Lydon over the Christmas holidays. Will any of the children be able to beat Ms Lydon in this extra special holiday battle?
