Year 2 enjoyed a day at the Young V and A to support their learning in history about clothes from the past. Great work Year 2! #keepconnected

Weaving in the Oasis with Year 2. Year 2 have been weaving in art, as part of their topic ‘Clothes.’ They took this outside this week, exploring the technique of weaving with different materials.

We made headdresses for our Caribbean carnival representing each different carnival dance we have learnt. Year 1 Jamaica 🇯🇲, Year 2 Trinidad 🇹🇹, Year 3 Guyana 🇬🇾, Year 4 Brazil 🇧🇷, Year 5 Dominican Republic 🇩🇴, Year 6 Cuba 🇨🇺!

Year 2 have been reading Oliver’s Fruit Salad. They took a trip to Dalston Market to choose their own fruit to make their own version of Gainsborough’s fruit salad. They tried lots of new and different fruits from sugar cane to custard apple, pineapple to nectarine linking to their geography learning. Well done year 2! #keephealthy #keepgreen #keepconnected

Year 2 spent a day at the zoo! Year 2 looked at the animals’ habitats, features and thought about what food the different animals might eat as part of their science learning. Well done Year 2!

Year 2 visited the Royal Mews and Buckingham Palace to learn about the royal family and their history as part of their history learning this term. Great questions from our inquisitive Year 2’s!

Year 2 saw lots of parents in class today to support them to build cake boxes! They have explored different nets to make cubes in DT, and looked at how to make them strong enough to hold things. Well done Year 2. #keepconnected
