Year 1 herb tasting with Chef Rab. Year 1 explored the tastes and textures of our home grown herbs last week. They also made tartar sauce to have with our fish main last week- it was delicious! #keepgreen #keephealthy

Year 1 took a walk around the Olympic Park to locate landmarks in our local area. They matched these to a map as part of their geography learning. Well done Year 1.

The beach! Last week Year 1 visited Chalkwell Beach as part of their Geography learning. They dig for crabs, made sandwiches castles and paddled in the shallows. Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the trip.

Tug of War! We saw ruthless determination to get the ribbon over the line. Great work today at our Year 1-6 sports day on the London Community Marathon Track!

Year 1 retold the story of the Rainbow Fish in their assembly today. They have used this text to explore kindness in their reading and writing lessons. They wrote and performed their own Rainbow Fish song! Well done Year 1! #music #keepconnected

Year 1 science. Year 1 have been learning about the different features of mammals, fish and birds. They borrowed Year 3’s pet fish to do some observational drawings. 🐟

Year 1 cooking. Our new cooking curriculum is tasting good. This half term we are learning to read menus, use the equipment and tidy our new kitchen, as well as cooking pasta dishes. Year 1 have made pasta with spinach and bell peppers. Well done Year 1! 👨🏾🍳
