31 Jan Year 5 Trip to the Natural History Museum
Last week Friday Year 5 went to the British Museum to explore Ancient Egypt.
During a very informative workshop, we found out that death and the afterlife to ancient Egyptians meant complex funeral preparations to ensure the transition of the individual from earthly existence to immortality.
We found out some really interesting facts.
“The brain was also removed, but not preserved, and the rest of the body was dried with natural salt, treated with oils and resins, and tightly wrapped in bandages.”
