This week children across the school have been completing exciting DT and Science projects to celebrate British Science Week. These have been linked to the topics the children have been studying.
In Year One the children made balloon powered boats and tested them on the canal.
In Year Two we made kites to link to our topic Weather. We are learning about everyday materials in Science and we selected paper because it is a light, flexible material. Luckily it was a windy day and our kites flew beautifully.
Year Three made Rockets that launched with a chemical reaction between bicarbonate of soda and vinegar.
Year Four invented devices to protect an egg from high up. They tested them by dropping them from a bridge.
