Book Week

The week beginning Monday 9th June is the start of Book Week.  As part of this we will be having a 'Book Swap' where children bring in books they no longer want and choose a book that another child has brought in.  Parents must give their permission first.

On friday 13th June children and staff were invited to come to school dressed as their favorite character from a book.  Have a look at some of the wonderful costumes below.

RIF (Reading is Fundamental) Project

At the beginning of the day all the children in Key Stage 1 were invited along to have books read to them and were able to choose a story book to take home and keep forever. Later that day all the children dressed up in their pajamas and got ready to read! Year 5 children came down to years 1 and 2 to read and share their new stories along with orange juice and biscuits! IT was so lovely to hear all the children reading to each other. We have some wonderful story tellers in the school! Have a close look at their books - are any of these your favorites?
